NT DAMA Specialists · Woolner NT

Darwin is not a small market. It is a specialised one.

Northern Territory migration revolves around DAMA (Designated Area Migration Agreement), NT regional nomination, and the distinctive workforce needs of a territory where local talent is genuinely thin in many sectors. Our Darwin office was opened specifically to serve NT employers and migrants, and it runs on knowledge that does not transfer cleanly from other states.

What makes Darwin different

Three things that set NT apart.

NT migration is different from Queensland, Victoria, or NSW in ways that matter for strategy.

NT DAMA breadth

The NT DAMA is among the broadest in Australia — around 120 occupations with concessions on English, salary, age, and occupation list. For employers and workers who do not fit standard sponsorship, DAMA is often the only viable pathway.

Accessible state nomination

NT state nomination is historically one of the more accessible pathways for 190 and 491 visas. Occupations capped in other states often remain available in the Territory.

100% regional classification

All of NT is classified regional, including Darwin city. Applicants who study or work in NT get regional benefits (5 extra points for regional study, 491 eligibility, 191 PR pathway) that are unavailable in Brisbane or Sydney.

Services we provide Darwin clients

Specialised NT pathways.

The Darwin office focuses on pathways that are specifically NT-relevant.

DAMA nominations

End-to-end DAMA work. Endorsement applications to the NT DAR, nomination to Home Affairs, and visa application for the sponsored worker.

NT state nomination

Applications to the NT Migration Program for 190 and 491. Strategy around NT employment requirements and commitment to reside in NT.

Employer sponsorship

Standard Business Sponsorship, Skills in Demand, and 186 ENS for Darwin employers. Often combined with DAMA where standard pathways do not fit.

Student & 485 Graduate

Charles Darwin University and other NT providers. 485 Graduate pathways for NT-educated students with regional bonuses.

Where is our Darwin office?

22/16 Charlton Court, Woolner NT 0820.

Woolner is an industrial and commercial area close to Darwin CBD, a 10-minute drive from the city centre and easily accessible from Palmerston, Stuart Park, Parap, Fannie Bay, and Nightcliff. On-site parking available. We service Darwin, Palmerston, Katherine, Alice Springs, Tennant Creek, Nhulunbuy, Jabiru, and remote NT communities.

NT has a faster application-to-invitation window than most states.

Where a Queensland or Victoria nomination might take three to nine months from EOI to invitation in competitive occupations, NT nomination can run significantly faster when the occupation fits the current NT Migration Program priorities. Timing counts when applicants are approaching age or visa expiry.

Common Darwin questions

The questions we hear most.

For NT-specific consultations, book with our Darwin team.

Do I need to live in Darwin to use NT state nomination?
NT state nomination applicants must genuinely intend to live and work in NT. The program is not a stepping stone to a move elsewhere. For 491 regional visas, you must live in NT for a designated period to access PR through 191.
Is DAMA only for regional NT or Darwin too?
DAMA covers all of Northern Territory: Darwin, Palmerston, Katherine, Alice Springs, and all regional NT. This is different from some DAMAs (like Great South Coast Victoria) which are more geographically restricted.
Can I visit your Darwin office without an appointment?
Appointments are preferred so we can give you dedicated time. Walk-ins are welcomed where staff are available, but evening or weekend meetings need arrangement in advance.
What languages does the Darwin team speak?
English primarily. Our network includes Hindi, Punjabi, Nepalese, and other South Asian languages through video support from our Brisbane team.
